On November 9th, 2010 Hilda passed into a better realm. We like to think she is much happier in her new dimension, and would also like to think that she is satisfied knowing that her suffering at the hands of Health Authorities has not been in vane. Since her passing we have kept moving forward exposing the callous, insensitive, retaliatory, and arrogant attitudes of those who call themselves "Care Givers".

The Latest Insult
Freedom of Information Documents Denied by Fraser Health Authority
March 16, 2011
This last song and dance from the Fraser Health "cover-up team" is just another insult to ones intelligence. Apparently the "spin" doctors are once again at the realm of this ship tossing out more "junk mail" to cover the asses of those within the organization that spend their working hours conspiring against decent people. Those citizens who may dare advocate for their "Rights".

Advocates Beware!
January 31, 2011
A lot has happened since this blog was first started. I made a complaint to the licensing department of the Health Authority responsible for the facility regarding the use of anti-psychotic drugs to treat my mom's anxiety. According to the Rules and Regulations for long-term care, there has to be consent to use a chemical restraint (anti-psychotic drugs). There was no consent to use the drug, and the doctor even admitted to treating without consent (as a matter of fact they tried to keep that from us!).

Stand Up For Seniors
A new Seniors Bill of Rights for Residential Care Facilities and also a revised version of Rules and Regulations for Long Term Care are about to come out. What does this really mean for seniors? Who's going to enforce them, the Health Authorities?
