It has been exactly one year ago on this date, and still no one has been held accountable for the abuse, illegal actions, and violation of human rights against this elder and her family.

Fraser (un)Health Residential Services and Contracts needs to be dismantled .  How many families have been on their “hit list”.  They don’t  seem to have any limit to the amount of tax dollars they can and will use to abuse the elderly and their rights.

The lies that Dr. L. Macintosh told to Chilliwack Hospital are nothing more than a cover-up for the egregious acts of Ann Marie Leyen (administrator of Cheam Village) and the abuse that was taking place within the facility. On November 9th, 2010 Hilda passed into a better realm. We like to think she is much happier in her new dimension, and would also like to think that she is satisfied knowing that her suffering at the hands of Health Authorities has not been in vane. Since her passing we have kept moving forward exposing the callous, insensitive, retaliatory, and arrogant attitudes of those who call themselves "Care Givers".

A lot has happened since this blog was first started. I made a complaint to the licensing department of the Health Authority responsible for the facility regarding the use of anti-psychotic drugs to treat my mom's anxiety. According to the Rules and Regulations for long-term care, there has to be consent to use a chemical restraint (anti-psychotic drugs). There was no consent to use the drug, and the doctor even admitted to treating without consent (as a matter of fact they tried to keep that from us!).
