Conspiracy – An agreement among conspirators; Plot
And conspire, or plot among themselves they most certainly did. Starting with the manager of Cheam Village.
When she was caught and couldn’t talk her way out of the illegal and abusive drugging of my mom she needed backup, calling in her cronies from Fraser Health. It was quite unbelievable how each of the different “departments” stood by the other to come to the rescue, perpetrating lie after lie after lie. As FOI documents show, all the way to the top. One after another of the bureaucracy bloated Health Authority conspired to cover up and continue the blatant illegal and abusive treatment at Cheam View care home and eventually Maplewood House, and Abbotsford Hospital.
And the pharmacy that was suppose to oversee the Care Home was also part of the abuse. They repeatedly lied and covered up the information on the drugs that were at the center of this fiasco. Even feigning they didn’t know that said drugs (anti-psychotics) were “black Boxed” and not to be given to anyone with dementia. It was exactly their job to KNOW this fact and prevent it from happening when in fact they were totally complicit and part of the problem (big pharma), as they are for all the long care homes. Anti-psychotics are a cash cow for them.
This drug fiasco is a theme throughout our whole ordeal and is actually quite horrifiying in its entirety. I don’t go into it all in this pdf as it would require another whole book to cover all the illegal and diabolical shenanagens that took place in the abuse of my mom. Perhaps to come later.
Thank goodness I retrieved FOI documents. Between recorded conversations and the FOI documents, they put the story together nicely. And for all the sanctimonious nay sayers, recording your own conversations is perfectly legal in Canada. And one of the only ways the truth can be preserved within a society that has come to idolize the lie. I’ve come to think that the “lie”, very well might be the preference of our society today.
This story shows how dozens of people all did their part in destroying one little old lady all to make sure that the “way things were done” did not get compromised in any way. A “conspiracy” maintained for industry, (big pharma) and government coverup of the abuse of seniors and the inept state perpetrated in the guise of Long Term “Care” Homes.
After the abuse of anti-psychotic drugs which put my mom in a coma twice and then caused a massive seizure, she was left totally debilitated and she died. The cause of death was from venous thromboembolism, which is a risk attributed to anti-psychotic drugs.
Don’t ever think for one moment that it is just private “for profit” care homes that are at fault as some lately have suggested. ALL the care homes in BC had the same policy of drugging. Therefore government is every bit as much to blame. And in this case the Health Authority was part and parcel of the horrendous abuse from start to finish. In my opinion they are responsible for my moms death but no one was held accountable or ever will be. Justice denied.
