Elder Abuse is running rampant in Canada. In BC it appears to be orchestrated by the government.

College of Physicians and surgeons. Are Doctors Above the Law?

College of Physicians and Surgeons Do they have any relevance? Are Doctors Above the Law?

Another hoop was jumped through that was a total waste of time and effort.  It would appear that this, club of buffoons, is there for no other reason than to cover-up the egregious acts of some ethically challenged doctors, ignoring admissions of wrongdoing, legalities, and ethical, not to mention moral, obligations.

It defies the imagination that this group can even justify their existence after the uniquivacle debachary they have made of this case. Not only is the document fraught with errors, it is also an insult to ones intelligence.  It is obvious that the College could not have given much thought to what they wrote, much less conducted an investigation. (My complaint was filed June 28, 2010 ~receipt acknowledged July 9, 2010 ~ Response of Investigation recieved Nov. 3, 2011 ~ after 16 months of investigation?!?...)
This disposition by the college is the most shameful piece of drivel I’ve ever read and I fail to understand how any board would so unceremoniously degrade itself by penning  it.
Had the College bothered to speak to me personally, perhaps I could have assisted them in keeping their facts straight! A grade school child could have done a better job at this.  They had doctors at the wrong hospitals, and the wrong dates for almost everything .  Their facts were so screwed up that out of  the 23 pages of disposition, it would have taken at least 23 pages to correct the mistakes.  Shameful!?!  Not only, as stated before, is this an insult to ones intelligence, but how could they possibly try and justify creedance to a doctor who's admittance to treating without consent was presented to them, in a disposition by said doctor?!
They have done a great disservice to all seniors care, seniors rights, and to the medical profession in general!

So the next hoop I had to jump through, is the Review Board.  They are suppose to look at the evidence and decide if the College did it’s job, or if it needs to be looked at again.  I wonder what they will do with the fact that the College let all the doctors off, in spite of the rules, regulations, and laws that are in place to assure that there is protection  from abusive practises, AND with all of these confirmed and substantiated by the  Anti-psychotic Review that was just completed by the Government, cleary stating that all health professionals MUST have consent to treat.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons completely ignored this law. What should we conclude if the Review Board concurs? God help us all...
