Anti-psychotic drugs are killing our seniors. There is a must see video that addresses the problem of the abusive use of Anti-psychotic drugs. Although
this video is specific to Australia, the problem of abuse of anti-psychotics is world wide... In Australia the use of these
drugs is at 30%, but in British Columbia it has reached 50.3%... and probably one
of the highest, if not the highest use in the world. We are drugging our seniors to death with drugs that were never approved for use on people with dementia...
No one will hold Doctors, health care
workers, and residential care homes accountable and in fact in British Columbia
we are now prevented from finding out what our loved ones have died from if
they are residing in a nursing home...
This video reminded me of the abuse suffered by my mother at
Abbotsford Regional Hospital where they force fed her anti-psychotic drugs
against her will. When she wouldn’t
swallow the pills they injected her with
the anti-psychotic Haloperidol. She also
suffered and died as a result of this abuse...
The current Liberal Government of British Columbia has
allowed this egregious drugging practice to continue. The Canadian Government will not get involved,
stating this is a “provincial health care matter”, even though medication abuse is listed as a
Justice Department violation under Senior Abuse.
Both Federal and
Provincial governments refuse to protect
the vulnerable, frail senior population. They refuse to uphold their rights under
the constitution, and ignore legal Representation Agreements. It would thus appear that
they are condoning the abusive practices. Doesn't aiding and abetting make you guilty of the same crime as the person who
commits it... And this is a crime...
